Cyberpunk 2077 Leg Cyberware: Double Jump, Charged Jump, or Stealth?

Leg cyberware changes how you move through Night City, so its value is often easiest to judge outside a damage comparison. Reinforced Tendons provide a double jump, Fortified Ankles offer a charged jump, Lynx Paws support quieter movement, and Jenkins’ Tendons emphasize sprinting. The right choice depends on the routes and situations that repeatedly interrupt your play.

Identify the movement problem first

Think about the last few objectives you completed. Did you struggle to reach an elevated route, dislike setting up a jump, want a quieter approach, or spend time crossing open ground? Choose the most frequent problem rather than the most spectacular ability. An implant earns its place when it changes a situation you actually encounter.

Separate movement convenience from mission access. A visible ledge may be useful, but reaching higher ground does not prove that every locked route can be bypassed. Look for the intended objective and inspect the landing area before committing to a jump. Treat mobility as another way to explore your options, not a promise that the mission’s other requirements disappear.

Reinforced Tendons: choose an extra jump

The double jump is appealing when you want an additional movement input while airborne. Consider whether that feels comfortable with your usual controls. Before taking it into a complicated route, practice on a simple, forgiving obstacle and pay attention to the timing of both inputs.

Judge the result by repeatability. If you can reach your chosen landing area without repeatedly stopping to rethink the controls, the implant is helping. If it makes movement less predictable for you, spend time learning the action before assuming you need a different tier or a more elaborate route.

Fortified Ankles: choose a prepared jump

A charged jump favors deciding where you want to go before launching. Inspect the obstacle and landing zone, allow room to prepare the input, and avoid making the first attempt from an awkward position. This choice is worth comparing when you prefer a deliberate movement action over a second jump input in the air.

Do not turn the comparison into an unsupported claim that one implant reaches every location the other cannot. Geometry and your execution matter. Choose a real route you expect to use and see which movement pattern is easier for you to control there.

Quieter movement or stronger sprinting

Lynx Paws suit a movement goal centered on a quieter approach. They do not replace checking sightlines, choosing a route, and watching the surrounding enemies. If your stealth attempts fail because you walk into view, first solve that positioning problem instead of expecting one implant to handle the entire encounter.

Jenkins’ Tendons focus on sprinting. Consider them when your ordinary movement would benefit more from that emphasis than from another way to jump. Read the current description and compare the benefit with your actual travel habits; the most interesting tooltip is not necessarily the one that saves you the most friction.

Compare cost with the rest of the build

At a ripperdoc, inspect the available tier and capacity requirement. Ask what supporting implant you would have to postpone to make room. Movement may be worth prioritizing, but the decision should account for the complete loadout rather than treating the leg slot as an isolated purchase.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing an implant for an impressive route you rarely use.
  • Assuming quieter movement makes observation and cover unnecessary.
  • Comparing jump styles without practicing their different inputs.
  • Spending capacity before deciding which recurring problem matters most.

Pick the movement behavior first, practice it on a safe route, and keep the implant if it makes ordinary exploration or encounters noticeably easier to control.
