Leyndell Golden Seeds: Two Capital Landmarks

Leyndell Golden Seeds: Two Capital Landmarks

Leyndell’s Royal Capital checklist has two different Golden Seed objectives: a Tree Spirit encounter in the lower city and a guarded sapling near the western ramparts. Plan them separately. One is a combat reward, while the other is a pickup reached through a threatened area. This distinction helps you choose the right objective for the resources and time you have.

Check which version of the capital you are exploring

Major story progression changes Leyndell. These references concern the Royal Capital layout, so first compare the named Sites of Grace and scenery with your current world. If the area has changed substantially, do not assume that every earlier route remains available in the same form.

The source research did not establish a precise story trigger reliably enough to repeat here. We therefore avoid giving an oversimplified instruction such as treating one broad story event as the exact cutoff. If you are still exploring the Royal Capital, check the locations during that exploration rather than relying on a vague promise to return later.

Lower Capital Church: the Tree Spirit branch

From Lower Capital Church, head northeast toward the sandy lower section. The objective associated with this route is the Tree Spirit encounter. Reaching the area alone does not mean the Golden Seed reward has been collected.

Before committing to the fight, orient yourself using the church and the lower terrain. Identify a manageable approach and distinguish the enemy you are seeking from incidental threats on the way. If your immediate goal is a quick pickup, remember that this branch involves completing a combat encounter.

Keep learning the fight separate from navigation

On an unsuccessful attempt, note whether the problem happened on the approach or during the fight itself. A clear route back reduces the distraction of repeatedly finding the same place. Once the route is familiar, focus your adjustments on the encounter instead of changing the whole plan every time.

West Capital Rampart: the guarded sapling

From West Capital Rampart, head south toward the Colosseum and watch for the gargoyle. This route leads toward a sapling rather than the lower-city Tree Spirit. Use the named rampart checkpoint to avoid mixing the two objectives.

Observe the guarded area before rushing the item. Look at the space available to approach and leave, and decide whether to address the immediate threat first. The fact that an item can be picked up does not make the surrounding enemy irrelevant to a safe exit.

When you collect the seed, confirm the pickup message. Then decide whether your next objective is continued exploration or a return to a Site of Grace. Do not let the nearby Colosseum landmark turn the short seed search into an unplanned tour of every adjacent route.

Keep the Capital Outskirts on a separate list

Outer Wall Phantom Tree belongs to the outskirts route covered in the Altus guide. It should not be counted as one of these two interior objectives. When reviewing progress, use exact location names rather than a single note that says “capital seeds done.”

This is particularly helpful if you have collected the outskirts pickup but have not yet reached the relevant Royal Capital checkpoints. A precise checklist prevents a completed earlier stop from hiding unfinished objectives inside the city.

Apply the result

At a Site of Grace, check whether your collected seeds meet the next flask-charge requirement and apply the upgrade if available. Record the lower-city encounter and the rampart sapling separately, including which world layout you used. That is a clearer record than simply noting a visit to Leyndell.
