Find Huno, learn the skill, and follow the forging sequence.

Verified route notes

Huno teaches introductory smithing near the Old Camp arena. TposeGaming lists the lesson at ten Learning Points and fifty Ore, unlocking basic weapon crafting.

After training, raw steel becomes a blade through several workstations. Returning the next day also opens Huno’s sickle task.

  • Heat the steel, then work it at the anvil.
  • Cool the blade in water and finish at the grindstone.

Prepare for the lesson before buying materials

Locate Huno near the Old Camp arena and inspect the training dialogue before purchasing a large amount of raw steel. The lesson and the material are separate requirements: possessing steel does not prove that the introductory skill has been learned. Confirm what the trainer offers in your current save before building a shopping plan around it.

The guide lists ten Learning Points and fifty Ore for the introductory lesson. Check those amounts against the current dialogue and your available resources. Keep the training budget separate from future material purchases; spending the last Ore on ingredients before paying the teacher would not satisfy the missing lesson.

Follow the workstation sequence deliberately

Begin with a small first attempt rather than a production batch. Follow the source’s order: heat the raw steel, work it at the anvil, cool the blade in water and finish at the grindstone. After each interaction, inspect what the inventory or prompt now calls the item. That gives you a practical record of the stage reached.

If a workstation does not offer the expected action, check the item you are carrying and the previous step before repeating the same interaction. A missing intermediate item and an unlearned skill are different problems. Return to the last confirmed stage and establish what changed instead of spending additional materials on guesses.

Once the first blade is finished, compare the result with the item you intended to make. Keep the lesson cost, materials used and final result in separate notes. This guide does not establish resale prices, unlimited profit or the best crafting loop, so successful forging should not be mistaken for proof of a money-making exploit.

Return to Huno with a clear purpose

The source says Huno’s sickle task becomes available on the following day. When you return, inspect the new conversation and journal entry rather than assuming that completing one blade automatically finishes the task. Keep the follow-up quest distinct from the general forging lesson so you know which objective you are trying to advance.

If you are also reserving points for combat or an achievement run, update that budget after the lesson. A useful early crafting plan is one that you can afford without obscuring your next important requirement. Learn what the process produces first; expand it only when the materials, purpose and opportunity cost are clear.
